Take Flight & Fly High Prison Programme

Empowering mothers to take control of their lives and create a positive future for themselves and their children.

Challenge we’re addressing:

Between 18.3% to 24.4% of women prisoners reoffend. That figure is reduced when mothers stay connected to their children whilst incarcerated and receiving personal development. – Ministry of Justice

Prisoners reoffending costs the UK £18 billion a year and approximately £40,000 to house one prisoner per year. This isn’t to mention the wider impact on society and the individual.- Ministry of Justice

The ‘Take Flight’ programme aims to help women stay connected to their children through storytelling and building their confidence whilst developing specific life skills.

Volunteering Opportunities for sponsors
